Cleaning
The flower of life in the base of the carafe/glass (outside) is burnt in at a temperature of around 600°C and then coated with a food-safe protective coating. In principle, the glasses and the carafe are dishwasher safe. After 500 to 1000 washes in the machine and depending on the hardness of the water and the detergent, the symbol may begin to fade.
Cloudy glass - cause and solution
Frothy and cloudy glass indicates that the carafe or glass is calcified.
The main causes of cloudy glass are as follows:
- Wooden items in the same wash cycle as glassware
- Hard water
- Incorrect dosage of rinse aid or too little salt
Limescale build-up is best removed with warm water and a tablespoon of citric acid* or vinegar essence*. Fill the affected carafe/glass with the mixture of warm water and citric acid / vinegar essence and let it sit for 12 hours. Afterwards, dry the product well and polish it. Repeat the process as needed.
* Please use citric acid and vinegar cleaners only on the inside, as the acid can attack the flower of life.
