When many things stand still, new ideas emerge
An article appeared in Aktuell Obwalden on the introduction of our Alpklang product line. We are pleased to give you an insight into the creation of the sound boxes "Huuri" and "Senn".
Alois and Patricia Britschgi, owners of the company Berg & Kraft and their team surprise again and again with innovative ideas. With the latest product line Alpklang, Berg & Kraft focuses entirely on Swiss quality. The three different products "Senn", "Huuri forest sounds" and "Huuri Elia" are made of Swiss Swiss stone pine and oak wood and have a motion sensor that plays soothing sounds of nature when approaching about one and a half metres. "Senn" surprises with nostalgic cowbell sounds as well as natural jodel from Central Switzerland, Bern and Eastern Switzerland. The "Huuri" with forest sounds or sleep melody Elia. The "Huuri" Elia is ideal for the falling asleep ritual with children.
Song Elia - a melody that goes straight to the heart
How did the idea come about? Alois Britschgi looks back: "For our product idea, we were looking for native and earthy sounds. That's why I got in touch with Daniel Wallimann, who is very well known in the Central Swiss music scene. Originally I thought of producing a yodelling song with Daniel for the product "Senn". However, during the conversation we came up with the idea of including his children's song "Elia". That's how our "Huuri" with the children's song "Elia" came into being." The birth of his first son Elia inspired Daniel Wallimann to write the touching and enchanting melody that gently put his little son to rest each time. The original melody of the children's song has now been further developed by the three musicians Daniel Wallimann (composer), Antonia Gasser and Tobi Gmür and freshly interpreted for the production of "Huuri Elia". The result is a wonderful form with vocals, guitar, piano and harmonium.
