Cleaning
The flower of life in the base of the glass (outside) is burnt in at a temperature of around 600°C and then coated with a food-safe protective lacquer. In general, our glasses/carafes are dishwasher safe. After 500 to 1000 washes in the machine and depending on the water hardness and detergent, the symbol may begin to fade.
Milky glasses - cause and solution
Milky and hazy glasses indicate that the glasses are calcified.
The main causes of milky glasses are as follows:
- Wooden items in the same wash cycle as glassware
- Hard water
- Incorrect dosage of rinse aid or too little salt
Limescale deposits are best removed with warm water and a tablespoon of citric acid* or vinegar cleaner*.
Fill the affected glass with the mixture of warm water and citric acid / vinegar cleaner and leave it to stand for 12 hours. You can then dry the glass well and polish it. Repeat the process if needed.
* Please use citric acid and vinegar cleaner only on the inside, as the acid can attack the flower of life.
